Reiki is an ancient therapy which assists the receiver in accepting recognising and using universal life energy. It evolved in Japan from the experience and dedication of Dr Mikao Usui (1865). The method of receiving a reiki treatment from a practitioner involves gentle placement of hands in a sequence of positions that cover the whole body. The receiver remains fully clothed. The whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms. The practitioner is a channel through whom the energy is directed. Reiki clears, strengthens and heals energy pathways, allowing the life force to flow in a healing and natural way. It can help with all conditions acute or chronic, physical, mental or emotional. Well Mother Pregnancy Massage is an integration of shiatsu massage, ante and post natal exercise/education and relaxation. The primary aim of this massage is to support the well being of parents and babies by promoting the use of bodywork, especially massage, shiatsu and exercise.
