A unique, romantic and picturesque Summer wedding!
As the saying goes, third time's the charm and this was certainly the case for Liz and Paul's gorgeous wedding day! After having to postpone multiple times, the couple tied the knot with their nearest and dearest in a Summer celebration that took place at The Millhouse in Meath. Brimming with elegant details, dainty florals and pretty pastels, this real wedding was everything the couple had hoped for, and we are pretty big fans, too! How gorgeous does Liz look in her pearl-detail wedding dress by Los Angeles bridal brand Newhite!? This is such a cool, contemporary look for a fashion-forward bride. This couple's love story begins like so many others - on Tinder! Liz is from Meath and Paul is from Tyrone, but were living in Belfast at the time, and decided to have their first date in a local bar. Liz tells us that the date soon turned into a pub crawl and that, by bar three, they realised they had struck gold!
The couple got engaged while on holiday in Greece back in September 2019. Liz tells us, "We had a gorgeous balcony overlooking the sea and Paul planned to pop the question while watching the sunset." But Liz took a little longer than expected to get dressed, so it ended up being a moonlit proposal instead! The Millhouse is stunning in any season, but particularly so in Summer!
When it came to location, the couple knew that they wanted to get married in The Millhouse as soon as they set eyes on it! Liz tells us as soon as they saw the ceremony room, "we both knew it was the one. The Millhouse had everything in one venue. A truly special ceremony room, beautiful grounds, a house steeped in history and staff that cared for us every step of the way."
The couple's priorities for their big day were simple; "Ultimately, we wanted our guests to relax and enjoy themselves in a beautiful setting after such a tough year!" After arranging a Winter, Spring and finally, Summer wedding, the couple were delighted they could have their day go ahead with the ones they love.
Paul tells us that although the wedding was postponed twice, it was "worth the wait to see how beautiful Liz looked in her dress." Can someone pass the tissues, please? Our eyes are sweating...
The most important advice that Liz and Paul have for other engaged couples is just to enjoy the day and even enjoy the build up beforehand! They advise couples not to focus on the little things and just let the day take its course naturally. The couple stayed a few nights in Mallorca for their honeymoon and would highly recommend it!
