How long does the program last?

Your Christmas Experience at the Enchanted Forest, The Millhouse, Slane, lasts 1 hour 20 minutes. 

 

Should I arrive early?

We recommend arriving 10 - 15 minutes before your scheduled start time to ensure you have adequate time to check in and use the toilet facilities before your Christmas Experience begins.

 

Is it all outside?

The Christmas Experience begins in our tearooms and activity space and continues into our enchanted forest where you will meet Mrs Clause and Santa in their individual indoor spaces.

 

Is it suitable for everyone?

Due to the forest landscape we feel this experience may not be suitable for those with impaired mobility. The Experience includes the use of flashing lights and therefore may not be suitable for those with epilepsy.

 

What clothes are suitable? 

We recommend you wrap up warmly as much of the experience is outdoors, so hats, coats and scarves are advisable. We recommend everybody wears sensible footwear as the forest trails may be damp. Consider bringing wellies and waterproofs in the event the weather is not favourable. 

 

Will Santa know anything about my child?

You will have the opportunity to share information about your child/children when booking online, eg: their name, age, family pets, favourite sports etc.

Santa has a short time to review this information in between groups so choose carefully what you feel would amaze your child that Santa knew about them.

We cannot guarantee that Santa will refer to this, but we will do our best to make sure each family has a magical Christmas Experience.

 

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a camera. There will be a professional photographer onsite. The photographer is an independent contractor so The Millhouse does not take any responsibility for the photographs. You have the opportunity to pre-book a photo with Santa for €10 online or on the day directly from the photographer.
